2014 Mission Trip Blog

Saturday, June 21--Early this morning, the advisors gathered to pick up vans for the trip to Kentucky!  Excited youth, eager advisors and supportive families and friends thronged the church parking lot for a joyful send-off.  After the group circled up for last remarks by Rev. Adam and a blessing by Rev. Doug, the youth and advisors divided into their designated vans and embarked on their trip that has been a year in the making. 

After a stop at Cabela's and breaks throughout the day through the Alleghanies, the Mission Trip 2014 Group has safely arrived in West Virginia to a warm reception from their host church.  The drivers are tired, but the gracious reception and comfortable accomodations are promising a good night's rest for everyone. 

Tomorrow they will continue their journey to Kentucky.  We keep our Mission Trip 2014 travelers in our prayers. Their "work" will start bright and early Monday morning, though each one has already done a great deal of important ministry and work to get this far.
