Ensembles

Join us on Wednesdays for rehearsals at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 9:15am. 

At the heart of worship at First Church is our Adult Choir, which sings at the regular 10 am worship services most weeks through the program year.  They lead us in congregational hymns and specialize in presenting traditional/classical anthems of the sacred choral music repertory.  The Adult Choir is open to all Gr.9 through adult and new members are welcome at any time.   [ more ]

The Meetinghouse Ringers is First Church's very own handbell choir and specializes in the exploration of a unique form of music performance. This group is open to all ages and abilities Grades 4 through adult. The Ringers have returned to rehearsals with performances coming up on Palm Sunday and Music Sunday [ more ]

The Pilgrim Chorale is a unique intergenerational ensemble that specializes in contemporary music experience. It serves as the contemporary alternative to the Adult Choir as it seeks to incorporate emerging styles of sacred music. This group is open to all ages and abilities Grades 7 through adult. Pilgrim Chorale is on hiatus in the 2022-23 program year while we search for a settled Music Minister. [ more ]

The Youth Choir is a multi-dimensional music ensemble for children grades 3-7. This group explores bell and chime playing, singing, and other forms of creative music making.  In person rehearsals during our interim period take place every other Sunday, 11:15 AM - Noon in the Choir Room. [ more ]

The Junior Choir is a group for the youngest of our children, Kindergarten through Grade 2. This group sings songs, plays instruments and provides an enriching musical experience for children to prepare them for music in the Youth Choir and Pilgrim Chorale.  Junior Choir is on hiatus for the 2022-23 program year while we search for a settled Music Minister.
