Meetinghouse Chorale

The Meetinghouse Chorale gathers each year to sing major choral repertoire, often with an orchestra. Previous concerts have included Handel's Messiah, Bach's B Minor Mass, Haydn's Creation, and Mendelssohn's Elijah. These performances have been a feature of the musical life of First United Church of Christ, Milford for over forty years. The Meetinghouse Chorale is comprised of the First Church adult choir, and other singers from the community. We invite singers from the community to join the Chorale which usually performs at a concert in the Spring.

The Meetinghouse Chorale will be presenting the Requiem by Maurice Duruflé on May 5th at 4 pm. The concert will feature the combined choirs of The Meetinghouse Chorale of Milford and the New Haven Oratorio Choir. The choirs will be under the direction of Daniel Shaw with James Lindsay providing organ accompaniment. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 and there will be a reception to follow the concert. For more information, please the contact the church office.
