How Do I Join?

When someone joins the official membership of the church, they promise to commit themselves to be present in worship on a regular basis and to support the spiritual and active mission of the church through time, talent and treasure.

We suggest that people begin by worshipping with us and meeting members of the church as well as pastors and staff.  Hoping that many will feel called by God to commit themselves to this faith community, we offer one 2-hour First Church 101 session every six weeks, on a weeknight, Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon.  This session introduces (or reviews for those who used to know but are a little fuzzy on the topics) our church's history, faith tradition, fellowship opportunities and ministries; lets people ask Rev. Adam questions; and gives time to find out about your faith and passions.  People who attend First Church 101 are not required to join, but we hope that our faith community is compelling to those seeking a spiritual grounding.  People who have attended a First Church 101 session and who wish to join can officially become members in a worship service in April, September or December.

Check the online calendar for an upcoming First Church 101 session; please contact the church to let us know if you plan on attending and if you need childcare.
