What Should I Expect?

As you enter the church through the main entrance, a greeter will welcome you and an usher will give you a bulletin to guide you through the service. All of our services include prayers, music, readings, and preaching.  At times, you will be invited to stand, sing, pray, greet your neighbor, be in silence, or read responsively.  Each service also includes a brief time of greeting neighbors, where you are invited to shake hands, say good morning and/or share a word of peace with people nearby.

Holy Communion is offered at First Church during both services on the first Sunday of each month. Our communion table is open to everyone--all who hunger and thirst for spiritual food, and who desire to know the risen Christ.

At our services we maintain the ancient Christian practice of receiving an offering to support the church's ministries. We welcome your gifts and encourage everyone to live a life marked by generosity. If you are unable to give financially, please consider an offering of time or talent to the church, another organization, or a neighbor in need.  Click for more information on Stewardship.
