Questions for reflection:
-What do you think Barbara Brown Taylor means whe she writes that the grieving pastor "sounded like someone who had been scorched by the living God and knew better than to try and talk about it"?
-When have you yearned most for God to speak to you?
-What has kept you in relationship with God when and if you have suffered with the silence of God?
-How if at all have you felt resolution through experiences like that?
-What does it mean to you to 'honor the silence of God'?
-How does the cruficixion bring you closer to Christ (or Christ closer to you?)
-How do Holy Week and Easter move forward from that silence for you?
